Evaluators or Experts in the field of Evaluation (2 people)
The Sozial- und Entwicklungshilfe des Kolpingwerkes e.V. is looking for an independent evaluation team (2 people) for the evaluation of our Kolping-projects in Uganda.
The Sozial- und Entwicklungshilfe des Kolpingwerkes e.V (SEK) is the specialized organization of the International Kolping Society („Internationales Kolpingwerk“), which is concerned with the implementation of projects of the development cooperation in Middle and East Europe, Africa, Asia and Latin America.
The aim of the work of SEK is to fight actively against poverty through the building of sustainable social structures in form of self-help groups (the Kolping Families). The project partner is Uganda Kolping Society (UKS) is a non- profit making organization with its headquarters in Hoima Municipality, the west of Uganda. The projects to be evaluated are ‘Support of self-help organizations in East and South Africa’ (2012-2014) and ‘Fighting poverty through social structures: Consolidation of self-help associations in eastern and southern Africa’ (2015-2017). A major focus is on rural development, with activities to increase agricultural output, distribution of livestock, rural microfinance and introduction of appropriate technologies playing a role.
We search two evaluators with experience in rural development for an evaluation of the project work of our partner in Uganda. Knowledge of evaluation methodology and experience in Uganda are required. Currently, we estimate following days (planning, implementation, report and final phase), 50 working days for international expert (German and English speaking) and 38 working days for the national one (English and Luganda/Runyoro speaking). This is only estimation!
This evaluation should analyze and assess the results of 2 projects (2012-2014 and 2015-till now). The Terms of Reference of this evaluation can be downloaded from our homepage.
