Knowledge Management and LEAD Network Officer

- full time (39 hours per week) -

Your tasks

  • This role coordinates the LEAD Network (Plan International’s internal network in the field of strengthening the political participation of young people, especially girls and young women) and provides knowledge management support to the whole Global Girls and Youth Power and Action Hub (GYPA).
  • Strengthening, support and maintenance of the LEAD network activities and participation
  • Administration, continuous improvement and monitoring of network processes and structures in coordination with the Youth Movements and Campaign Coordinator
  • Development of learning and communication assets on LEAD, including programme and influencing models, e.g the design of decks and promotional materials
  • Knowledge management and support to global reporting for the GYPA Hub and liaise with the Knowledge Management team at the Global Hub
  • Administration of content and strengthen use of platforms for collaboration (Sharepoint, Workplace, Intranet, Teams)
  • Organization, logistics and administrative work collaborating with colleagues within GYPA and with other collaboration hubs and networks within Plan to promote integrated programming and influencing
  • Support to specific strategic projects and initiatives of GYPA

Your profile

  • Strong experience in knowledge management
  • Strong experience in network management
  • Experience in creating learning and development offers
  • Experience of project management and implementation support, including budget support
  • Strong organisational, planning, process and administrative skills
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, and a strong sense of creativity
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent team collaboration, able to work in a flexible and supportive way
  • Strong administration skills including Skills in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Sharepoint
  • Ability to manage a varied workload effectively, including managing competing demands, prioritisation and maintaining high levels of accuracy, attention to detail and output
  • A proactive attitude, curiosity and willingness to learn, and agile way of working
  • Fluency in English, both written and oral, other foreign languages desired (French, Spanish)
  • Commitment to or passion for meaningful and inclusive child or youth participation, feminist campaigning and activism, gender equality, anti-racism and girls’ rights
  • Knowledge of human rights, international development, community development, child and youth participation, gender, social sciences or a related field
